The beggining of KFC
- Colonel Harland Sanders founded KFC.
- He sold fried chicken from his roadside restaurant in Corbin during the Great depression.
- By self-branding under the name of "Colonel Sanders," Harland become a prominent figure in American cultural history, and his image is still widely used in advertisements of KFC so far.
- However, the rapid expansion of the system plus old age prevented him from controlling the restaurant chain and had to sell the company to a group of investors led by John Y. Brown Jr.. And Jack C. Massey in 1964.
