The burning of oil can can result in CO2 emissions, resulting in pollution of the air in which we live in.

The ozone serves more purpose then just UV protection. The ozone is located in the trophosphere, the ozone layer can be helpful just as its harmful.

Due to the pollution we have been emitting, the ozone layer is being depleted, this allows more UV to get through the sheet as well as trapping in radiation which causes a greenhouse effect.

The pollution is trapped by the ozone layer which causes sun to reflect back onto the earth.

But even things so great can have problems.

Used motor oil can contain concentrations of toxic heavy metals such as zinc, lead, and cadmium that affect the environment, including wildlife, vegetation, surface water and drinking water supplies when not disposed of properly.

If you change your own oil, get a reusable used oil container. Drain the oil carefully into the container, avoiding splatter and spills. Recycle and re-use oil filters. Recycling one ton of drained oil filters produces 1,700 pounds of steel and recovers about 60 gallons of used oil.

Pros and Cons of Oil

Oil Pros

Here is a list of the advantage of oil

No other energy source can move vehicles with greater speed at longer distances than oil.

Create jobs for the local economy.

Use in cars, convert into electricity, plastics, wax, sulfur, asphalt.

But we have to wait and find out ourselves.

Flying Through the Future of Oil Energy

By Trace Sharp and Luc Reynolds

It may also result in the over

usage and depletion of oil on Earth.

Luc Reynolds

Trace Sharp

The future for oil may have to do with

constant recycling to new oil...

Cons

Oil companies need to build big oil rigs to extract oil offshore and inshore.

Oil leaks may occur which result in environmental disaster by killing wild life, disturbing the biodiversity of that area, and it take years for cleanup.

Oil is non-renewable, which mean it will eventually run out.

Burning oil pollute the environment by releasing CO2 and other toxic.

Burning oil releases green house gases, which contribute to global warming.

Oil can be

recycled.

The solution is a good one

This can cause the mass extermination of nearby plants and animals in the ecosystem.

The problem is not a good one

The chemical compounds in the recycled oil poisons plants and animals.

Extracting oil from sand takes a lot of water.

Drilling for oil is unpredictable; it takes a lot of time to search for oil.

It is expensive and dangerous to transport oil.

If we do not fix this, the

ozone layer will decay and

cause massive destruction

all around the world.

Oil Refineries today are

non-renewable, meaning that it will eventually run out.
