Where Was Most of the Connections to the Allegory Used?

There were two major parts in which the allegory was the clearest. The first is when WALL-E sees the only surviving plant on Earth. This shows the audience how we can inflict so much damage to our earth. The second is at the end. As in most story lines, the allegory or lesson is expressed at the end. In this scene the humans plant the green stem and water it. It gives the audience, and the future of Earth, some hope. The plant's symbol in the movie is that there is still hope for Earth and that it can still sustain life.

Why Was This Particular Allegory Used?

Now, more children movies have an 'economical lesson or allegory' in them. This is an example of a moral based allegory. Movies such as WALL-E incorporate the lesson about saving the Earth. This could be due to the fact that with an economy with an increasing need of power and electricity, we still need to realize that we don't live forever and neither does the Earth.

How the Screenwriter was able to incorporate the Allegory?

In WALL-E, the Screenwriter was able to weave the allegory into almost every scene of the movie, obviously not during the romance of WALL-E and Eve. The two biggest moments that the allegory was shown was in the beginning and at the end.

Wall-E "Save the Earth" Allegory

Pixar's Wall-E, about a robot who still works and lives on an abandoned Earth, isn't just a boy meets girl love story. It is also about how two determined individuals try to save the Earth and preserve the last of it's beauty.
