Thank you

President Kennedy ordered the U.S. navy to set up a naval blockade around all of Cuba. In doing this, Kennedy was hoping to prevent missle warheads from entering Cuba.

President Kennedy asked if the Air Force could take out all the missiles in Cuba. If they did that, there would be an estimated 10 to 20,000 civilain casualties. Another U-2 flight found that more missles were being quickly produced.

U-2 Spy Planes flew over Cuba and took picures of the missisles that were currently beong held there by the Russians. These pictures revealed a lot of missiles that the Russians had transported to Cuba.
