Stan Lee is a talented comic creator, publisher, editor and many other things. Stan lee was president and chairman for Marvel Comics and has made many well known Comics. Some comics that he's made were the Fantastic Four, X-Men and the Avengers.
Stan Lee had a rough childhood. When his father had lost his job in the great depression he had to move into a 1 bedroom apartment. He spent lots of time reading and watching movies as a child. Stan lee worked several jobs and went to school. He went to DeWitt Clinton High School and worked as an office boy and wrote obituaries and press releases.

Stan Lee's real name is not Stan Lee it is Stanley Martin Lieber. Stan Lee is only his penname however most now him by Stan Lee. He said that he didnt want to use his real name on silly little comics he wanted to save it for when he would somday write a great american novel.
When Stan Lee was hired to Marvel by Martin Goodman Marvel was called Timely comics. Stan Lee stayed at Timely comics for about 10 years when it was renamed Atlas Comics. 10 more years later Stan Lee wass still with this company when it was finally renamed Marvel Comics. Stan Lee actually sighned a lifetime contract saying that he must spend 10% of his time with Marvel.
DC comics is another American comic book publisher so natuerally DC and Marvel will compete to be the better comic book publisher. However Stan Lee wrote a whole series of comics that re-imagened many characters from DC comics with new origins and traits.
