Orography is the study of formation of landforms and topography of mountains

Effects of Typhoon

Batanes, Northeastern Luzon, the Western part of Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur, Western Albay, Eastern Mindoro, Marinduque, Western Leyte, Northern Cebu, Northern Negros, and most of the Southern Central, and Northern Mindanao.

Large bodies of water can have an effect to the strength of the the typhoons that heat adjacent to the land.

- wind coming from the sea is heavy and with moisture from evaporation.

  • Hot air rises up and water vapor condenses, resulting to cloud formation
  • Cool air descend on the leeside, however since its drier and warmer on the leeside, water evaporates and air becomes dry leaving little no rain.
