Every student has a device. This will make implementing technology easier but I have questions about how to perpetuate equitability as effectively.
Devices
The staff are an asset because:
- They are social justice oriented so I know I have support in facilitating a classroom rooted in SJ.
- They are active in their community in many ways, which means i will be able to see how I can be a part of my community professionally and personally.
The Language Arts Staff
The School
The building is newer and undergoing renovations. This means that teachers are receiving newer furniture and cleaner classrooms. Since the building is so large, I will be able to move my students and not leave the space of their direct educational community. Also, during warmer months, the large amount of green space will allow me to connect students to their physical environment through movement and learning.
