What is a Conditional?

Is a clause that express a conditio, in oder words a conditional is something that must happen first before another thing happens.

- If you go to the supermarket, you can buy some bread.

Zero Conditional

The Zero Conditional is formed in this way:

IF + Subjet + Base verb, + Base verb

We use the First Conditional to talk about possible future events that depend on other future events.

The first conditional is always use whit a modal that could be:

WILL, MAY, MIGHT OR COULD.

First Conditional

We use Zero Conditional to describe rules and situations where one event always follows the other.

It's used for scientific / general truth.

The First Conditional is formed in this way:

if + Present Simple, will + infinitive

We use the First Conditional to talk about possible future events that depend on other future

Examples

If I meet this guys, I would lose completely my mind.

- If you heat butter, it melts. 

- If I have time, I study English.

- Years ago if people travelled a long distance, the journey took days.

“If” may be replaced by “when”.
