There is a Fire Star Coming

By Christian Do

Period 6

Topic #2: Chris D'Lacey

Topic #3: Wife

Chris D'Lacey created the main character, David Rain with some things that he himself had done or is. David started out writing stories about squirrels for Lucy, but later began writing books that would be published after sending those stories in(Just like Chris D'Lacey)

Chris D'Lacey's wife Jay basically helped inspire him to

write one of a first books about polar bears because of her love for animals. And from that book he incorporated it

into his dragon chronicles.

Topic #1: Craft fair in Leicestershire

Conclusion

I came to a conclusion that Chris D'Lacey

had little connections with the book,"Fire Star," because it came more out of pure imagination rather than inspiration.

Chris D'Lacey's character Elizabeth Pennykettle, was inspired by a crafter(Makes clay dragons just like Mrs.Pennykettle) that he met in Leicestershire while at a crafting fair.

Summary of Fire Star and Chris D'Lacey

Fire Star is the third book in the dragon chronicles, and it picks off after the main characters David and Zanna wins a trip to the Artic. While they are on the trip Lucy is kidnapped by her sibyl aunt Gwilanna who plans to use her power to revive the great dragon Gawain. In addition, as this is all happening another dragon that was brought to life by Lucy's mom from an egg escaped through a window and would be later found in the Artic in time for the epic battle.

Chris D'Lacey was born in Malta, a southern european country that consist of an archipelago, but now lives in Leicester with his wife Jay. Chris didn't start writing books until his friend told him about a book writing contest. Although he didn't win, he sent it to a publisher and they accepted it.
