Speeches by Donald

  • They cannot try her because “Crooked Hillary" because he says that she owns the courts. Gives minimum power.
  • Older adults who are being targeted have experience.
  • He repeats himself in saying “we know this. Everybody knows this."
  • He then continues in saying that people have even suffered death by only doing 10% of the bad things she has done.
  • He is comparing Clinton to someone who has committed felony crimes and implies that justice would be to make her suffer what they have.

Claim: As a result, his superior stance remains, but it is his circumstances that determine his usage of language as he alters his demeanor, approach, and tone.

On December 7, 2015 Donald Trump spoke about his proposals in a rally at Mount Pleasant, S.C. During this speech he mentioned, “A total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States”

  • He wants to portray power and authority through the use of these words
  • By referring to the Muslims in that certain way he is categorizing them because he is inferring that all Muslims are the same and are a part of ISIS when in reality they aren't.
  • He is attacking people from a certain religion and how he won't support them inside of our country.
  • Revealing himself as an authority and appealing to others since many already are afraid of muslims due to the attacks of ISIS in Paris and San Bernardino, California.

Thank You!

"Don’t be afraid. We are going to bring our country back. But certainly, don’t be afraid. You know, we just had an election and sort of like you have to be given a little time. I mean, people are protesting. If Hillary had won and if my people went out and protested, everybody would say, “Oh, that’s a terrible thing.” And it would have been a much different attitude. There is a different attitude. You know, there is a double standard here."

-Never criticizes the actions of others but rather interprets the situation as an opportunity to prove his demeanor to excel past the protests.

-Created a scenario where he can play the role of the hero.

-Rather than degrading Hillary, he no longer puts her in a state of inferiority but instead actually empathizes with her.

-“there would be a different attitude,” to then asserting “there is a different attitude.”

-He finishes by recognizing that there is a “double standard” to prove that he is not oblivious to our nation’s natural bias.

-Call to action

^no longer about blaming others; now he can do something about it.

political campaign speeches and through Twitter in order it promote his ideologies amongst people of all ages. Furthermore, we will analyze how audience and purpose affect the structure and content of texts.

What does it mean?

-Campaigning process described as “open” and “successful”

^Triumph exposes raw inconveniences in the nation

-"Now professional protestors..."

^ Acknowledges the fact that several are simply only looking for trouble and are denying his presidency.

-"Incited by media..."

^Couldn't care less

^This highlights that his new position of power has allowed him to reach a state of superiority where people’s accusations have no affect on him.
