Cloning is part of a study called genetics, in which humas are studying what makes us all different appearance wise.
Genetics have allowed for major advancements, like biotechnology and genetic engeneering.
So the main question is: wht can we do with genetics? Well, one of the most debated topics is cloning!
Impact
In addition, cloning, in widespread amounts, could effect the environment.
So far, people have no idea what the waste products of cloning, or the resources to create a clone could be. Also, there are already A LOT of human on earth. If we had even more people, at an unatural growth rate, we could have a resource shortage. In a world already faced with a resource shortage, this would be a major setback.
Regarding the subject of cloning, some people belive it to be unethical. Many belive the scientists are playing God by creating life. Others belive that these copies are created as experimentation, and any experimentation on humans or animals is unethical.
Many lawsuits could be filed as a result of cloning. For example, people could be unsure what to classify human clones as. Would they be classified as humans or animals? If they had human emotion, (we don't know, because human clones have yet to be created) cloning could be a major human rights issue.
Thank you for viewing this presentation on the pros and cons of cloning!
Cloning people or animals with certain genetic diseases can allow for better research. For example, scientists can study a clone to see how a disease progresses.
Cloning allows farmenrs to have doubles, or even triples of animals. Say for example, you have one cow. This cow cannot create another cow, so you take some skin from the cow and have it cloned. You now have two cows!
