A highlight of this course for me was learning how to dye hair, using bleach to highlight . There were a highlight of this course because I enjoyed learning how to dye hair and how to highlight hair to make someone hair different . Another highlight would be learning that our portfolio can help us in the future if we wish to pursue with the cosmetology industry.
I enjoyed the opportunity to learn about hair colour and how it works. Considering I’ve learned braiding, curling already. Knowing what colour to use to get the colour the clients wants and learning what colours to mix to get the colour you want. I also enjoyed learning how to highlight hair and make a clients hair either lighter or darker. A personal turning point for me was the more I learn in cosmo the more I would like to learn more in the industry. Also a turning point for me would be learning the much that I have has me slowly pursuing the industry. The new skills that I’ve learned this year in cosmo would be dyeing hair, bleaching hair and how that services using chemicals you have to do and get done at a fast pace so the colour turns out the way you wanted . I’ve also relearned how to get good at braids and curling hair.Obstacles or challenges that I have overcome this year in cosmo would be learning the proper way of holding my scissors and mastering on braiding hair. My best work in cosmo would be the fishtail braid, french braid, any type of curling, flat ironing and washing hair. Because flat ironing and curling are easy to learn and master. Braiding is easy once you get the hang of it and where each strand is suppose to go and when to pick up.
I need to improve on would be cutting hair and dyeing hair. Because I need to have more experience and learning more about each cutting and dyeing as much as i can and as i go while doing it. In 5 years from now I will remember all the good memories that were made in the 4 years of taking cosmo in high school. All the services that I have made and all the new skills i have mastered over the years. Hoping in 5 years or less I would be in the industry or doing something with hair or even doing makeup. I will also remember my teacher Ms Brown or Ms Stocker these women are best cosmo teachers ever. Both of them are amazing teachers and both a wonderful person. Ms Brown is the one who has taught me last year. Ms Stocker has taught me how to do things this year that i didn’t know how to do.
