I remain strong believing in my thesis even after reading all of the comments.
Social media is a catalyst in unhealthy relationships, and is often used as a replacement for face-to-face interactions.
Learnings:
With Twitter I was able to accomplish:
My finding: I had a lot more favorites on twitter than I did actual typed replies. I had a good amount respond to the actual poll I posted which I thought helped to collect good opinions. The downfall was I had to make everything informal. It sounded weird to post actual stats, so I had to change the way I approached the posts on twitter.

I noticed that on Facebook, it's more acceptable to post longer posts, therefore, I was able to post my actual sources that proved my opinions.

-cyber bullying and offensive/vulgar posts and tweets
-tweets that are interpreted incorrectly and therefore cause twitter fights...
-online relationships that are based purely on social media interactions, but become uncomfortable in person
-false relationships, Catfish (the MTV show)
-online predators that rely on location services, instagram post, facebook geo-tags, and other social media ways of finding locations.
-self-worth decaying
Many people seemed to be more inclined to respond on Instagram... I'm not sure why. Most of the comments that were on the thesis agreed with my own opinion. None of them refuted the thesis.
