Cheondoism is a Korean religion ( and no, foreigners cannot join) that has roots from Korean Shamanism and Buddhism and some influences from Christianity. This unknown religion preaches that God exists in each of us and its goal is to make their earthy society into a paradise while also trying to make the believers into smart being with morals as well as an attentive consciousness towards society. Cheondoism is a fairly new religion that came about during the 20th century for a religious movement in Korea based off of a peasant rebellion in 1812 lead by Choe Jeu . Cheondoism also came from a rival in Korean nationalism (Super Cool Religions).
