Parents are superior to children. Children should respect and honor their parents. They should do their best to bring honor to their family.

It was founded in China by a Chinese philosopher named Confucious around 500 BC. There are six major religious books for this religion.

Rituals are very important to the Confucian ethical system. They practice different rituals at certain times in their lives, like birth, death, and marriage.

He believed in leading by example and being around positive people gives you a positive attitude in life. Self-correction and self-discipline were very important.

It put a strong emphasis on morality. Confucious taught that immorality came from ignorance. Virtue leads to a very knowledgable life. It deals more with the practical and earthly than with the heavenly aspects of religion.
