Ponyboy grew up in a poor family.
He lived with his brothers: Sodapop
and Darry after his parents died from a car accident.
He hanged out with his gang the greasers.
When Ponyboy got pushed by Darry he ran away with Johnny. However it was a terrible idea as the drunk socs jumped them and bob got killed by Johnny.
Ponyboy and Johnny ran away to an abandoned church in Windrixville. But because of a careless mistake of a cigarette, the church burned down and left Johnny with a broken back. However Johnny and Ponyboy saved the kids from the burning church.
The greasers and the socs had a rumble. The greasers won and Dally happly went to tell Johnny. However not so lucky for Johnny. He died from serious pain from the church. His last words were to tell Ponyboy to stay gold.
As Johnny dies, Dally decided to go rob a store and got chased by the police. Unfortunately, he got shot and died.
As the story finishes, Ponyboy wrote his english assignment about his adventure.
