Tip!!!

Soak the crayons in warm-hot water for a couple minutes. This gets the wrapper wet and it will come off easier. Note that the warmer the water is the quicker the wrapper comes off.

Select the crayons that you will be using and remove the paper wrapping from the crayon.

Keep It Clean

Set up a work station by laying out newspaper or paper bags in an area about 3 times the size of your canvas. Then lay the canvas in the middle of your workplace.

Prepare the canvas for melting by gluing the crayons on to the canvas with a hot glue gun.

Step 3.

Step 4.

Don't lift the canvas straight up & down because the wax will just run right off the canvas.

Help control the path of the wax by lifting and tilting the canvas.

Use the blow dryer to melt the crayons and blow the wax in the direction you choose. This is also when you have control of the colors blending together.

How to Make a Melted Crayon Canvas

Plug in the hot glue gun. If you do this first, it will be warm and ready to use when you need to.
