Vida Goldstein was born in Portland Victoria, 13th April, 1869 and died August 15, 1949 She was an early Australian feminist politician who championed for women's suffrage. She moved to Melbourne in 1877 and went to Presbyterian Ladies' Collage.
From 1900 to 1905 she produced and edited a monthly feminist journal, known as the 'Woman's Sphere.' When the International Women's Suffrage Alliance was formed, she was elected as corresponding secretary.
After Vida, Australian law treated women fairly by letting them get jobs, buying a house and being able to go to uni.
Vida was motivated by not being able to have the right to buy the home she wanted.
It was in the 1880's that this happened .
