15. Make small overlapping circles around the branches of the tree.

16. Wash your hands again.

17. Squirt light green paint onto a different paper towel and dip your finger in it.

18. Spread it around only on the dark green.

19. Wash your hands again.

20. Get a paper towel and rub it gently on your tree trunk.

21. Then use the opposite end of the paper towel and rub it gently onto the green leaves.

22. If you could not blend the colors with the paper towel, then return to steps 10,11, or 12.

10. Make a small a branch off of the branch you just made .

11. Now squirt some light brown paint onto a paper towel and then dip your finger into the paint.

12. Once it is on your finger, you will spread the paint around only on the trunk and twigs of the tree.

13. Wash your hands thoroughly.

14. Now squirt the dark green paint on a paper towel and dip your finger in it.

23. Now that both colors are blended you have painted your tree and can add details to your background.

24. Squirt the dark blue paint onto a paper towel and dip your finger into it.

25. Rub the dark blue paint on the white part of your canvas surrounding the tree and leave space at the bottom.

26. Wash your hands again.

27. Get a new paint brush and dip it into the dark green paint.

28. Make up and down strokes of different lengths at the bottom of your canvas. Make sure they do not exceed lengths of an inch.

29. Get a new paint brush and repeat step 28 with the light green paint.

30. With a new paint brust dipped in the navy blue paint spread it over the dark blue part of your canvas.

Supplies

1. Wash and dry your hands well.

2. Lay newspaper out everywhere.

3. Lay your canvas out on the table in front of you.

4. Open up all your paint bottles.

5. Take the paint brush and dip it into the brown paint.

6. Paint a line half way up the canvas with the thick part of your paint brush.

7. Take the ruler and use the corner to for a straight line out from the side of the trunk of the tree.

8. Form the branches by going a little bit diagonal from each side of the top half of trunk once.

9.Go a little bit in the middle and make a branch going up about 2-3 inches.

• Paint Brushes (4 or 5)
• Paint (Light brown, light green, navy blue, dark blue)
• Canvas
• Jar or cup of water
• Paper towels
• Your fingers
• A ruler
• Lots of newspaper
