Cell Analogy: Hospital

By: Lily, Annabelle, Erin and Will C

Comparisons

Chromosomes/Blueprint

The blueprint is like the chromosomes because its the genes of what makes up the characteristics of the hospital.

Hospital Walls/ Cytskeleton

The walls of the hospital provide strength and stability just like the cytoskeleton does with the cell.

Chief/ nucleus

The chief controls the hospitals activities and what goes on just like how the nucleus is the controller of the cell.

Cytoplasm/ Patients

The cytoplasm is like the patients in a hospital because they are everywhere in a hospital and the cytoplasm is a jelly like substance that surounds the cell.

Vesicle/ Morgue

The morgue stores waste in the hospital just like the vesicle does in the cell.

Janitor/ Lysosomes

Paramedics/ Endoplasm Reticulum

The janitor and lysosomes are similar because the lysosomes patrol and clean up after the cytoplasm/ patients.

Rybosomes/ Ambulance

Paramedics trasport patients in and out of the hospital and the endoplasmic reticulum transports materials to different parts of the cell

The rybososomes are like the ambulance because ambulances contain small organaelles/ people

Golgi Apparatus/ Stretcher

The golgi apparatus acts like a stretcher when they transport patients to the morgue. Just like the golgi apparatus exports proteins and carbs from the cell.

Mitochondria/ Medicine

The mitochondria is a lot like the medicine. Medicine helps the patients get better and be energized, just like the mitochondria converts energy for the cell.

Doctors/ Membrane

Next are the doctors, the doctors are similar to the membrane. Doctors are everywhere around the hospital protecting the substances.

Vacuole/ Medicicne Room

The vacuole acts like a storage space for foods, wastes and other substances. The medicine room keeps substances for the other organelles to use.
