A shield volcanoe is not an actual shield it is named that for the reason of the apearence to a warriors shield laying down. Shield volcanoes are the largest volcanoes on earth that look like volcanoes. Thses types of volcanoes are usually formed almost entirely of fluid lave flows. It is wide with shallow sloping sides. They are found in Washington, Oregon, and the Galapagos islands. They are found near constructional.

Hi! at this website you will learn about volcanoes. They are one of the worst disasters if you are near one. They have caused massive destruction and devistation to people. Volcanoes can desroy small islands and even more depnding on there size. Volcanoes are huge on average, about 13,000 feet!. Over 60 volacanoes erupt every year.

There are many interseting facts about volcaoes. Some of these facts are that volcanoes are mountains with a pool of lava in it. Next, is that volcanoes radar for how far you will feel the pain is 20 miles. After that is that erupting volcanoes can trigger tsunamis, flash floods, earthquakes, mudflows, and rock falls. The last fact is that the worst volcano eruptions happen in Indonesia, with tens of thousands of people dying. These are some facts about volcanoes.

Volcanoes can be located all over the world. The smallest volcano is located at Pueblo, Mexico and it is called the Cuexcomate volcano. The biggest volcano is called Mauna Loa which is located in Hawaii. The biggest eruption that caused the worst disaster is in Tambora, Indonesia in 1815 which killed 92,000 people. Volcanoes are even located on different planets. These include Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Saturn.
