Roman's most often traded items such as iron, led, leather, wine, perfumes, spices, glassware, corn, beef, and silver. All of these things were traded all throughout Spain, France, Middle East, and North Africa.

For a long time the Romans had kept enemies from entering the Empire. In A.D. 161 some enemies broke in and invaded the Roman Empire. This was a large problem for them.

One of the most popular trade routes was called the "Silk Road". This route linked China and India together for trading.

One of the most common ways were to use horses or camels. One reason camels were used often was because they were very strong. They could also withstand up to 1000 pounds. Horses on the other hand were very fast and could get to places quicker.
