Cytoplasm parts

Cytoplasm can also digest food for the cell, which is why it has amino acids and other digestive helpers.

Cytoplasm has many ingredients, water being the most potent. It also contains proteins, ions, vitamins, amino acids, nucleic acids, fatty acids, and many carbohydrates.

For the Organelle trail, our project is about Cytoplasm. Cytoplasm holds the cell together, suspends the organelles, conducts energy, and digests food.

Cytoplasm's Main Function

Thank you for watching our quick sum up of Cytoplasm.

Hold me up...

Cytoplasm's main function is to maintain the size and consistency of the cell. It does this by containing a 3-D lattice called the cytoskeleton, which retains the cell's shape and structure.

Cytoplasm's next most important role is to hold the organelles and nucleus in their relative area so that they don't collide with the cell membrane. If the entire cell were to come into contact with another, the cytoplasm would protect all the other organelles by acting as a cushion
