-Literary Analysis: You will read fiction (narrative) texts and analyze certain skills. You will need to cite evidence of these skills in each of the body paragraphs.
- Research Simulation: You will read informational texts and analyze the information and skills used. You will need to cite evidence of these skills/information in each of the body paragraphs.
- Narrative Task: You will MOST LIKELY be asked to finish a narrative or re-write the narrative from another point of view. You won't cite textual evidence but your task should be AT LEAST five paragraphs.
- Everyday during CMAS you will be expected to write an essay.

- Complete the sample essay using my body paragraph as an example.
- Use SUPER RACE for the remainder of the body paragraphs and add a conclusion.

- During your literature analysis you can make things easier on yourself by using SUPER RACE for each of your body paragraphs.
SUPER RACE looks like this....
R: Restate part of the question as part of your topic sentence.
A: Answer part of the question as the 2nd part of your topic sentence.
C: Cite one piece of textual evidence.
C: Cite a second piece of textual evidence.
C: Cite a third piece of textual evidence.
E: Explain how your pieces of textual evidence connect to your topic sentence.
