What was the British response?

The Battle of Britain was a crucial battle in British history and some people believe that it was the turning point for Britain. Germany-who had taken over most of Europe- had a plan called Operation 'Sea Lion'. This involves planes guarding the boats whist they went to South-East England to attack the RAF. It started on 10th July 1940. The German air force (Luftwaffe) had around 2,500 planes while the Royal Air Force had under 1,000 planes.
