The End.

Alphonse Frankenstein

Henry Clerval

Alphonse dies due to the stressful environment around him. These stressful situations inlcude Victor's decreasing health, especially his mental health and the death of his famliy members.

"He could not live under the horrors that were accumulated around him; the springs of existence suddenly gave way; he was unable to rise from his bed, and in a few days he died in my arms." Pg. 240, Victor about father

The monster kills Henry Clerval, because he is connected to Victor Frankenstein and is a friend to Victor.

"Have my murderous machinations deprived you also, my dearest Henry, of life? Two I have already destroyed; other victims await their destiny; but you, Clerval, my friend, my benefactor..." Pg. 214, Victor about his monster's murder streak

Victor Frankenstein

Victor Frankenstein is the monster's creator. However, he detests his creation. He claims that nothing can be "so hideous as that wretch," in which he created (72). Because of the neglect and hatred Victor displays toward the monster, the monster spends its life torturing Victor by killing his friends and family. When Victor dies, the monster mourns his death.

William Frankenstein

The monster strangles William after discovering that he is related to Victor Franenstein.

" I grasped his throat to silence him, and in a moment he lay dead at my feet." Pg. 173, Monster

Victor first tells Robert of the monster he has created and the endless stories of death that followed his creation. When Victor dies, the monster mourns the death of his creator and tells Robert his own story of what happened after he murdered Henry Clerval.

Robert Walton

Justine Moritz

The monster set Justine up to be accused of Willam's murder, and she was put to death because of it.

"-not I, but she, shall suffer; the murder I have committed because I am forever robbed of all that she could give me, she sahll atone... I bend over and placed [the portrait of William's mother that William had before his death] securely in one of the folds of her dress." Pg. 174, Monster telling Victor what he had done

After Elizabeth marries Victor, Frankensteins's monster enters the couples dwelling and finds Elizabeth when she is alone. He then stangles her and leaves before Victor can successfully shoot him.

"The murderous mark of the fiend's grasp was on her neck, and the breath had ceased to issue from her lips." Pg. 238, Victor about Elizabeth

The monster found shelter in a hovel near a kind family's house. He observed them and admired them. He started anonymously helping the family with their everyday chores, and while he watched them day and night, he learned their language and educated himself. Because the old man was blind, the monster first tried to befriend him due to the fact that he cannot judge based on appearances. When the others were gone, the monster entered the house and spoke with the old man. They became aquaintances until the others returned. "Agatha fainted, and Safie, unable to attend to her friend, rushed out of the cottage" (164). Felix beat the monster, and all hope was then lost. The family moved from their cottage and were never seen again.
