Taste
Taste is the sensation produced when
substance in the mouth react chemically
with receptors of taste buds.
The sensation of taste can be categorized into four basic tastes:
sweetness
sourness
saltiness
bitterness
Sour
Bitter
Having an acid taste
This taste is due to presence of sodium ions.
Salty
It gives the sensations like unpleasant, sharp or disagreeable.
Sweet
it is due to presence of sodium ions.
For example: coffee, cocoa, olives, sodawater
For example
lemon juice and vinegar
For ex. pizza, chips
Regarded as pleasurable sensation
Having a taste of sugar or derived from sugar
For example
chocolate and pie cakes
