In the book Dan states "this isn't the way things are meant to be". This is meaningful to me because Dan's family never thought they would be homeless, and Dan wonders why did it have to be his family. I liked this quote because you really never know when things could change.
I really liked this book. It really described how people feel when they are going through a rough time, and how they don't let it get the best of them. I would definitely recommend this book.
The setting of my book is in a town called Median, and the tent city inside of Median called Dignityville. The setting definitely influences Dan. It makes him more aware of how big the homeless situation and it also makes him more stressed and nervous. He is constantly worried how others will think of him now that he's homeless.
