Our Intent
To be able to have a successful mascot,
we have to have a mascot who appeals to
the younger audiences, ages 7-10, who
may have not heard of Jolly Ranchers.
With this, we came up with our mascot,
The Jolly Rancher.
The Jolly Rancher
Brief History
Jolly Ranchers are property of Hershey Food
Corporation.
They were invented by Bill and Dorothy
Harmsen in 1949.
The original flavors were Cherry, Watermelon,
Apple, and Grape. Blue Raspberry,
everyone's favorite, was not an original
flavor.
Our Mascot
The Jolly Rancher is a happy farmer
who represents joy and being in a
carefree nature.
All of his animals on the ranch are
happy, including his blue raspberry
Jolly Rancher inspired cow.

How would The Jolly Rancher
help sell Jolly Rancher merchandise?
The Jolly Rancher would be a friendly person that all kids enjoy.
Hershey Park, a very popular
theme park, usually has the
mascots of all the Hershey's
candies, but not the Jolly Rancher.
Commercials and advertisements
involving The Jolly Rancher would
make The Jolly Rancher popular
because Jolly Rancher does not
traditionally advertise.
Now that the Jolly Rancher is at Hershey,
kids will be able to have their picture
taken with the Jolly Rancher.
With these advertisements,
sales could increase since
Jolly Rancher is now introduced
to a market of a younger age.
