• Each year 10% of the students at GTI get the opportunity to avail of a fully
• funded work placement.

• Each work placement is for between two and four weeks. This truly unique opportunity allows students to gain valuable applied learning work experience in their chosen career area, in institutions and enterprises throughout Europe.

Work Placement dates: 13th March - 4th April 2016

Learning Outcomes:

• My placement allowed me to experience a new culture as well as to work abroad in a vocational area which I have a great interest in.

• It also helped develop my confidence and technical skills and a new programming language.

• This experience has given me a good introduction as to what I should expect from a job in the IT sector.

• It has given me a new appreciation for history and would compel me to want to travel more in the future to work abroad.
