Noah's Vote
Kenzi's Vote
Technically in Gerald Ford’s first term I wouldn’t vote for him since nobody had the ability to vote for him then. However, when he ran for his second term against Carter I wouldn’t have voted for him. One big reason why I wouldn’t vote for him is because he pardoned Nixon. I also wouldn’t vote for him because I don’t think he handled the energy crisis very well while he was in office. Lastly, I wouldn’t vote for him because at that time people wanted a change of pace for president after watergate, so I would’ve probably voted for Jimmy Carter.
I would not vote for Gerald Ford because he was never really president or vice president. Since he was never vice president or in the election to become president I don’t think he is deserving to be the president. I also wouldn’t vote for him because he vetoed a number of appropriate bills that would have further increased the heavy budget.
Presidency
Ford was confronted with difficult tasks such as:
Ford Pardoned Nixon for the Watergate Scandal.
President Ford won the Republican nomination for the Presidency in 1976, but lost the election to his Democratic opponent, former Governor of Georgia, Jimmy Carter.
