The gauchos use the land for farming and ranching.
It is the rolling grass plains of Argentina where the Gauchos thrive to ranch and farm livestock who live off the land.
Las Pampas, or The Pampas, is a huge plain. It stretches from the Atlantic to the Andes Mountains in Argentina and Uruguay. The pampas is located just below Buenos Aires, between 34° and 30° south latitude, and 57° and 63° west latitude. The Pampas Plains are home to the gaucho, or the original South American cowboy.
