Ophelia's brother and father both openly express their feelings of dislike for the young couple. Ophelia brushes off Laertes' attempts to stop her, calling him a hypocrite. She does although bend to her fathers will. This shows a Person VS Person conflict as Ophelia is being told what she has to feel and what she is allowed to do.
Claudius desperately tries to win over Hamlet,
Trying to lull him into a sense of false security, which of course Hamlet doesn't believe. He attempts to manipulate him by telling him to get over his father's death and to embrace him as an Uncle-Dad. Claudius also has trouble containing his emotions while watching the play that reenacted his plot against the old king, ordering it to stop. This shows a Person VS Person conflict between Hamlet and Claudius as they are both plotting against each other constantly
Internal Conflict
Ophelia has to decide if her father and brother were right about Hamlet's ways. she has to figure out (possibly the wrong way) if her feelings should be cast aside to protect her own livelihood
Claudius struggles to keep the kingdom from the knowledge of the murder he performed. He feels particularly threatened by Hamlet, and is leaning towards getting rid of him as well.

Hamlet both wants to take revenge on Claudius, but at the same time is skeptical of the ghost's message. He struggles to make an actual decision
External Conflict
Hamlet encounters his father's ghost and all suspicion he had was proven true. Hamlet has to struggle with the news of his father's murder, and getting revenge on the new king. This is an example of Person VS Supernatural as Hamlet makes the decision to obey the ghosts demands.

Gertrude can't help but feel sorry for herself that her son hates her, she is confused as to why Hamlet is acting so mad and rude towards everyone and especially her. She feels that Hamlet should be happy for her and Claudius.
Hamlet is furious at his mother for marrying Claudius so soon after his father's death. Gertrude is desperately trying to comfort Hamlet and get him back to being her happy little boy again. This shows a Person VS Person conflict as Gertrude is torn that her son hates her so much and openly shows it to her. While she just wants a happy family again
