Chapter 6

-Nick learns about Gatsby's past

-Daisy and Tom attend one of Gatsby's parties.

In this chapter there is an allusion about Gatsby being a bootlegger, which was illegal during the 20s.

Chapter 5

-Nick sets up a date for Gatsby and Daisy.

-Daisy and Gatsby fall in love once again.

This is an image of a bootlegger from the 1920s.

On page 87, Gatsby offers Nick a job, most likely an illegal job surrounding prohibition. This alludes to the crime that took place during the 1920s.

-Tom finds out about Gatsby and Daisy.

-Myrtle is killed by Daisy driving Gatsby's car.

There is an allusion to Gangsters and crime when Nick goes to see Meyer Wolfsheim to let him know of Gatsby's death.

There is an allusion to the war when Nick mentions that he was in the Seventh Infantry.

There is an allusion to 1920s cars when Tom and Gatsby drive the others to town.

There is an allusion to prohibition on page 65 when a woman states "He's a bootlegger." This statement would mean that Gatsby sells alcohol illegally.

-Nick Carraway moved to West Egg next to Gatsby

-Nick has dinner with the Buchanan's and finds out that Tom has a mistress.

There is an allusion to WWI in this chapter on page 7. Nick Carraway mentioned that he participated in the war.

This car is most likely the type of car Tom had.

-Nick goes into the city with Tom and his mistress.

There is an allusion to John D. Rockefeller when Nick states that the man selling the dogs looks like Rockefeller.

On page 158 there is an allusion to a Jazz Song and also an allusion to WWI.

John D. Rockefeller was the co-founder of the Standard Oil Company

This picture is a representation of the Jazz Age during the 20s.
