Hydras Weaknesses

A many headed serpent or monster in Greek Mythology that was slain by Hercules and each head of which when cut off was replace by two more others

The weakness of the Hydra was that it was invulnerable only if it retained at least one head. Heracles placed the head- still alive and writhing- under a great rock on the sacred way between Lerna and Elaius, and dipped his arrow in the Hydra' s poisonous blood
