By: Teigue, Lucas and Charlie

EXTRA INFORMATION

what did the Chinese think about the cures and how did it compare with other countries

What cures did the Chinese use for the plague?

No one actually knows how the black death started. The cures the Chinese used are unknown, but it is presumed that (possibly) they used the same cures that the English used.

How did it affect the Chinese?

Population numbers decreased heavily, around 55 million people survived when before the plague came there were around 120 million people in China. This was a catastrophe, as many died.

History

The Black Death originated in the north - west of China although we can't truly be sure because it affected animals all over Asia and not just China. However, we do know it affected people all over China. Some say, it could have been in China in 1200 but others say other dates like 1300.
