My Newton Scooter Project

By Jordan Hamlin

1) Rolling friction- My wheels were rolling on a smooth surface therefore making that friction rolling friction.

2) Fluid friction- My scooter was traveling through the air therefore traveling though a "fluid".

What changes did I make?

Instead of styrofoam I made the body of the scooter wood in hopes to be able to have a more aerodynamic car.

What forces and types of gravity were acting on the scooter?

The Forces acting on my scooter were gravity, rolling friction, and fluid friction.

Explanation of gravity on my scooter!

Gravity, the force that brings objects toward the center of the Earth, was acting on my scooter by making the scooter stay on the floor and not float into air.

Explanation of the types of friction acting on my scooter!

What was the action-reaction pair on this scooter?

The action-reaction pair was the spring pushing on the wall, being the action, and the wall pushing back on the spring, being the reaction.
