In NDA

We already:

-Set up reminders to clean up trash from lunch and events and repercussions for not.

-Ask students to put chairs in gym out and back in.

We could:

-Do an ongoing event of placing notes of "Thank you's" and "We love you's" around the school to remind our staff and administration that they matter.

-We would decorate doors of staff and administration for their birthdays.

Out in the World

We already:

-Have begun raising the minimum wage to $15/hour.

-Some companies give overtime

Companies should:

-Give regular bonuses (ig. every two years, three years)

-Cap the hours an employee is made to work at x number of hours and pay overtime for extra hours, if the employee desires to work longer

(This will ensure that no employee is forced to work two or three jobs that last ten to twelve hours per shift because they will be compensated with bonuses and higher minimum wage.)

We could:

-Have a workers' rights walk in support of poor and middle class workers that involved workshops and speakers at a large convention after the walk.

Issues When Not Followed

  • Workers feel unappreciated and as if they don't matter
  • Detracts from the dignity of other people
  • Workers not as energetic, creative, happy, or healthy
  • Works against the "common good"
