In the teacher environment, one example of this conduct would be in the form of being a role model that demonstrates how to conduct themselves in a professional manner that meets or exceeds the expectations set.
#9 of this section states: I will seek to avoid conflicts of interests and potential conflicts of interest and openly disclose any such conflicts. I will offer to remove myself when such a conflict arises.

In the teacher-based coaching environment, this standard would be addressed by building a relationship of trust and respect between the coach and teacher. Coaches demonstrate their trustworthiness by their actions and holding themselves to a higher standard than that of the teacher.
#3 under this section reads; "I will recognize and honor the efforts and contributions of others and not misrepresent them as my own. I understand that violating this standard may leave me subject to legal remedy by a third party."
To maintain a system of checks, where accountability is essential to the overall productivity of everyone involved, it is necessary to have in place a standard, or a way of doing things. This is typically called a code, or a set of guidelines for all to follow. Here we take a look at how the code of ethics for coaching can be applied in a teacher based environment.
#23 states: I will have a clear agreement upon how coaching information will be exchanged among coach and sponsor.
In the teacher environment, this standard would be addressed by the responsible party setting clear objectives and roles and effectively communicating these to everyone to limit confusion and misunderstandings.
