What they did

The Beatles never played for segregated concerts. They would always refuse. This caused segregated concerts to become integrated concerts. Concerts were very popular in the 60's and 70's, yet nobody fought for equality in concerts. Except the Beatles. A group of 4 white men.

The Beatles consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. Sadly, only Paul and Ringo are still alive. John was assassinated and George died of Lung Cancer.

The Beatles sung a song by the Isley brothers

called "Twist and Shout." The Isley brothers were 3 black men. This is one of my favorite songs. This song also became even more famous after The Beatles did their take on it.

People seem very sensitive to the word, "Black" or phrase, "Black people". It's stupid. Immature black people will say "That's racist!", when it really isn't. Almost all of my best friends are black. And white people will almost never say "That's racist!", when called white. Only immature people do that. Everybody should change the idea in their mind, telling them that somebody saying white or black is racist.

I've listened to the Beatles since I was little. I never knew how important to civil rights they were until recently. I was only told about the black people who fought for civil rights. Nobody ever told me that white people helped. They've always been one of my favorite bands, and my two favorite songs of theirs are "Imagine" and "Twist and Shout".

"Imagine all the people sharing all the world

you may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us and the world will live as one." The Beatles also wished that that people will be happy together. MLK wasn't the only one with a dream. These are lyrics from a song by John Lennon called "Imagine".

Stereotypes

Many people have created many stereotypes for black people. Like saying a black man in a hoodie sells drugs for a living. Or that they're always ghetto. Neither are always true. Stereotypes are stupid. Don't use them unless you want to be seen as an idiot.
