seen ineffective to most because it was not entrenched. which is why the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms was later put in place.

the governments unjust way of stopping immigration to Canada, in 1908. Canada denied immigrants from India that traveled grate distance and were very wherry from traveling and sent them back with very little chance of survival.

the use of slavery was present in Canada prior to the Slavery Abolition Act which was passed in 1833. both African American and first Nations people were traded and used for physical labor.

a list of rights and freedoms that have been entrenched by the government, made Canadians confident with their rights.

still didn't fix all problems with aboriginal peoples, even know the charter is there docent mean effort has been put into fixing pre-existing problems.

Prohibited First Nation or nonFirst Nation, from soliciting funds for First Nation legal claims without special license from the Superintendent General. Gave the government control over land claims.
