Climax
When Eckels spotted the dinosaur, he started having second thoughts. He chickened out of shooting the dinosaur. Lesperance told Eckels to go hide in the Machine. But, Eckels went the wrong way. While the other hunters, Travis, and Lesperance were shooting the dinosaur, Eckels stepped off the path.
Falling Action
1. Travis made Eckels stick his hand into the dinosaur's mouth. "Go out there. The Monster's next to the Path. Stick your arms up to your elbows in his mouth. Then you can come back with us."
Rising Action
2. When they got back to the present, everything had changed. The president, the sign, everything. "Somehow, the sign had changed:"
1. Eckels and the man behind the desk were discussing the presidential election the day before. "Makes you think, if the election had gone badly yesterday I might be here now running away from the results. Thank God Keith won. He'll make a fine President of the United States."
2. The man behind the desk tried to scare Eckels into backing out of the Safari. "Eckels flush angrily. 'Trying to scare me!'"
3. Tarvis explained to the hunters not to step off the path under any circumstances. "Stay on the Path. Don't go off it. I repeat. Don't go off. For any reason!"
4. Eckels started to get excited and nervous to shoot the dinosaur. "'I've hunted tiger, wild baor, buffalo, elephant, but now, this is it,' said Eckels. 'I'm shaking like a kid.'"
Resolution
When Eckels realized that because he killed the butterfly when he stepped off the path, that he had caused the future to change. Travis was very mad, so he shot Eckels
Exposition
The theme of of "A Sound of Thunder" by Ray Bradbury is that even the small things matter. Int eh story by killing a tiny creature like a butterfly, Eckels changed the entire world.

Background-
"A Sound of Thunder" is about Eckels. He wants to go on a time safari to shoot a dinosaur in the past. He is very nervous about the risks that the time safari has.
