Genesis chapter one
The Day Age Theory is an attempt to combined or find compromise between creation and evolution.
The Day Age Theory says that when God was creating the Earth the days were not actually 24 hours.
Instead of 24 hours days, the Day Age Theory says that God created the earth during eons.
An eon means a billion years.
Bernard Ramm, does not support the day age theory, he thinks that when God was creating the earth they were normal 24 hour days.
If the time when God was creating the earth was made up of eon time, that would mean that the earth would be at least a billion years old.
Unfortunately, the Bible does not say how old the earth is.
Most christian scientist that have studied this topic say that the earth is under 10,000 years old.
If the Day Age Theory says the earth was created in billions of years, then why would the Bible say that the earth was created in six days. And on the seventh day God rested.
If there were only six days God was creating the earth then what was going on during all of those billions of extra days that the Day Age Theory refers to?
In Genesis 1:1-31, it says what God created on days one through six, and it doesn't say anything in the Bible about the change in time.
In Genesis 1 it says that the plants were created on the 3 day. Then how would the plants survive thousands of years without sun light which was created on day 4.
How would the plants survive thousands of years without sun light which was created on day 4?
In Exodus 20:8-11 it talks of resting on the sabbath, or the seventh day. The Day Age Theory refers to days as long ages would it mean that man must work for 6,000 years and rest for 1,000 years?
Creation is always referred to as happening in a literal seven day period. Any theory that says it was a longer period is based on assumptions, philosophy, or a mixing of evolutionary theory.

The day age theory is in the creationism category
because it deals with creation, not evolution.
That verse is from when God was creating the earth.
