But later he was captured again and was executed by Riel's firing squad.

Then he was buried, but he was still alive.He died a while after that.
Thomas Scott was rude and racist to the Metis,he threatened to kill the leader. He had very stong opinions against the Metis even though he was an outsider.
That is why i think Louis Reil was innocent. He aws just trying to help the Metis. :)
