How would the Earth be with out a tilt ?

this would be one way the sun would point its rays on one hemisphere

the earth would be diffrent if it was not tilted.

It will probably have at least one season (spring-year around)

There would be many changes. First there would be only one season all the time with minor differences when Earth is at perihelion and aphelion. i dont think the time of sunrise and sunset would change that much in the equator there would be 12 hours ; night and day.

  • perihelion: is the point in the orbit of a planet at which is nearest to the sun
  • aphelion: is the point in which the orbit is the farthest from the sun.

Twelve hours of daylight and twelve hours of night, except at the poles where the sun would circle on the horizon giving a continuous day.

How would it be to us ?

Would we still have the same times ?

If the earth wasn't tilted there would be at least 1 season. Every day would be about the same temperature throughout the year. The tilt means that for three months (roughly) a place is tilted towards the sun (summer), and for three months away from the sun (winter).

  • the North Pole and South Pole would be in a continuous, never-ending state of sunrise/sunset, and would see the Sun circle along the horizon.
  • there would probably be at least 1 or 2 seasons throughout the year - at a given lattitude, the climate would remain steady throughout the year;

In this case the plane of the Earth's poles would always be perpendicular to the sun. The sun would always be just on the horizon 24 hours a day on every day at the poles. Every day would be like what it currently is on the equinox since every location on Earth would have about a 12 hour sunlight days and the noon sun angle would be about the same every day. There would no longer be season as we know them. The temperature and precipitation pattern would not vary much. It would still be warm at the equator and cold at the poles. The most profound impact on temperatures would be at the poles.
