Plot
I read this book a year ago, but we are reading this book in English this year.
The Giver Movie Trailer
It begins with the family being introduced along with many of the society's weird rules. During the Ceremony of Twelve, Jonas is given the Assignment of The Receiver and is given many "Memories". The book ends in a cliffhanger with Jonas standing in front of a house, hearing singing and music presumably coming from inside that house, and it just ends there. The movie was made as well, still named "The Giver".
