There are two common control systems, they are closed systems and open systems
Sensing systems have hardware which sense change in the environment, for example car lights which switch on the sun goes down.
Programmable systems
Programmable systems do not rely on an input to function. After the system has been programmed the system will run from its program. The program can be programmed to stop after one cycle or run forever.
