Inca and The Sky

  • The sky was important to Inca culture.
  • The sun and moon were considered gods
  • The Inca believed that each star resembled an animal
  • They assigned each star a purpose

Agriculture

Inca Daily Life

  • The inca built pillars and hills so the sun can rise between them. When the sun rose it was time to plant.
  • The Inca people ritually made sacrifices to the sun asking it to rise in certain places for planting

Inca people were constantly working. When they weren't they were attending festivals, which were believed to hold the empire together. They worshiped many gods.
