Edmund Germer (1901-1987)
invented the florescent lamp
in 1927.
Edmund Germer worked with Thomas Edison on the fluorescent lamp where it was completed in 1927.
The fluorescent lamp has changed a lot over the years. The first fluorescent light didn't last as long as the ones we have today. Older fluorescent lights were taller and skinnier, but the ones we own today are shorter and wider
If I were to add changes to this invention,
I would try to make the bulb last longer
than it does now. If it lasted longer,
there would be less used a year, making
this invention even more eco-friendly.
This is how a fluorescent light
bulb and how it works.
