The GDP has risen and with Brazil taking the world cup for soccer it has helped it raise by at least 2.0-2.4% in GDP. This has helped Brazil's economy. In 2009 Brazil rose eight spots above other countries for it's economy. Also in 2012 it was ranked 5th ffor the counrty with the most billionaires.
The GDP has grown on an average of 4.6% per year over the last five yearrs and continue to grow.

Throughout the 1990's, Brazil went down from lots of inflation that quieted the economic growth. In 1994 the Plano Real was invented. The plan helped with stability and helped Brazil keep economic growth over that of the global economy throughout the coming decade. Even with this development Brazil still is ruined by corruption, violent crime, functional literacy and poverty.
